What if your greatest source of love could become your closest Friend?
On this week’s episode of Love University, we continue our journey into LoveQ, your supreme Love Intelligence. We begin by strengthening your relationship with the Higher Nature within, the supreme force some call God or Spirit. In ancient tradition, it also known as the Friend, a loyal and loving companion who is always with you. As your bond with this supreme source of love and wisdom grows, you begin to experience its presence in every part of your life.
Here are three ways to develop a closer relationship with the Friend:
• Bring the Friend Into Everyday Life
Spending time with an animal or person you love, witnessing a simple act of kindness—these are the things that remind you of the beauty and goodness surrounding you. Even everyday activities such as preparing a meal or answering an email can become expressions of the Friend when you approach them with care and awareness.
• Give Your Desires an Upward Turn
When you’re distracted from your life dreams by chasing things and people that don’t fulfill you, your task is to give that energy an upward turn. Invest it in developing a closer relationship with the Friend: pray, meditate, study higher level knowledge, and raise your LoveQ. As your connection with the Friend becomes stronger, external cravings lose their hold and you become more secure in your own loving nature. You can still enjoy relationships and worldly pleasures, but they no longer have to carry the impossible burden of completing you. The Friend is all you need.
• Be Like the Sun and Extend Loving Energy Without Expectation
The sun gives its warmth freely, regardless of whether people welcome its rays or hide from them. The Friend in you does the same. Be kind to others, smile, pay them sincere compliments, help serve their needs. You do this, not to receive anything in return, but simply to express the part of you that is already loving and shining. When you do this, you release the fearful and self-focused parts of yourself and allow a greater loving intelligence inside you to emerge.
When you develop a loving relationship with the Friend, everything else fits into place. You elevate your LoveQ and unite with the pure love that resides at the center of your being.
