You were meant to be great. Here are some of the secrets of personal and individual greatness we learned at Love University this week. When you love yourself, authentically and honestly, your greatness comes naturally. Apply these lessons to your life and you will reach your highest potential in your finances, career, relationships, and personal joy.
*Develop Relentless Confidence—the Winning Trait. Relentless confidence is the heightened state of self-belief (self-love) that leads you to excellence. To develop it, you need to do one important thing. Shift your thoughts toward the things—people, circumstances, and higher power—that are for you instead of the things that are against you. Think of all the advantages you have been given in life: skills, aptitudes, intelligence, opportunities, resources, relationships, and life itself. When you do this, you will be more grateful and confident that you can overcome any obstacle to reach your dreams.
*Be a How Thinker. A “How Thinker” looks for ways to accomplish their goal, while an “If” Thinker believes they can do something only if… they have enough money, time, connections, energy, etc. How thinkers enjoy life and achieve their dreams; If Thinkers end up feeling regretful and frustrated. To be a How Thinker, ask yourself on a daily basis: “How can I make this a reality? How can I learn from the past and become better every day?” When you ask yourself “How” questions, you will activate your Invincible mind to accomplish the good things in life.
*Pay the Price for Upward Mental Mobility. Everything has a cost. To activate your Invincible Mind (compassion, power, and love), you need to give up your Self-Defeating Mind—thoughts of anger, sadness, regret, and anxiety. On a daily basis, think of negative states you want to exchange (give up) for positive ones: rushing for relaxation, anger for peace, and gratitude for joy. Then, practice making the exchange. For example, when you’re tempted to get angry at a frustrating person, simply say to yourself: “I choose to exchange my anger for calmness here. I prefer a peaceful state over an angry state, and I will pay the price by giving up the false excitement of anger. In return I will receive the soothing energy of peace and acceptance.” By doing this exchange regularly, you will start to reduce the negative thoughts in your mind as you increase your Invincible Mind.
Yes, you can reach the pinnacle of your personal invincibility—being strong, resilient, and courageous, despite the obstacles. Start today. Develop relentless confidence, be a How Thinker, and pay the price for upward mental mobility. If you do these things, nothing will hold you back. You reach your greatest goals and leave a lasting legacy of love and success for all to see.
